Upgrade your security camera system with artificial intelligence

GOVI Camera

GOVI Camera adds “intelligence” to existing cameras, helping ward/commune police move from passive to proactive AI monitoring: it keeps the cameras and NVR and adds an Edge AI AIBOX layer that processes images on site.

Overview

Traditional cameras mainly record and require officers to watch manually, so detecting incidents, handling situations and tracing subjects takes a long time. The AI can detect events, track subjects, read license plates and raise alerts in real time.

With an Edge AI – Server architecture, alerts can be processed right at the AIBOX with an on-site alert time of ≤ 2 seconds and shown on the duty system within about ≤ 5 seconds.

Key features

  • Fire and explosion detection

Automatically detects signs of fire and explosion and raises high-priority alerts.

  • Crowd detection

Detects and counts people in the monitored area and alerts when a set threshold is exceeded.

  • Restricted-area intrusion detection

Marks protected zones and alerts instantly on intrusion.

  • Abnormal behavior detection

Recognizes loitering, approaching or unusual activity in the monitored area.

  • License plate recognition (ALPR)

Automatic plate recognition and matching against watch lists.

  • Cross-camera tracking

Follows subjects across cameras and reconstructs the route of people and vehicles.

  • Digital camera map

Manages cameras by geographic location, opens live views and pinpoints where an event occurs.

  • Real-time alerts

Events are standardized and pushed to the system in real time for the duty team.

  • Vietnamese AI assistant

Natural-language Q&A to retrieve information and interact with the system.

Technology architecture

  1. Camera: uses the existing camera infrastructure, 100% retained
  2. Edge AI AIBOX: on-site AI processing — object detection, tracking, plate recognition
  3. Central server: receives condensed metadata and manages monitoring, alerts and reports

The edge-first model cuts the data sent to the center and optimizes bandwidth; the scale-out architecture grows by replicating AIBOX clusters; the event-driven model pushes events in real time; Security by Design brings encryption and permissions into the architecture.

No change to camera infrastructure

Localities do not need to dismantle or re-invest in the whole system; GOVI Camera adds only the AI layers needed, reducing initial cost, limiting disruption and allowing rollout area by area and cluster by cluster.

Information security

Intended to be deployed in line with Level 2 information-security requirements, with:

  • Network segmentation
  • Data encryption
  • Authentication and authorization
  • Operation logging
  • Readiness to connect to national databases per the deployment direction

Where it applies

  • Police and People’s Committee offices
  • Markets and residential areas
  • School gates
  • Key intersections
  • Public areas
  • Areas that require monitoring and subject tracing

Scalability

A linear scaling model: start with a 10–20 camera pilot, grow to 40–60 cameras and continue to 100+ cameras by replicating AIBOX clusters, without changing the whole architecture.

Rollout roadmap

  1. Phase 1 – Preparation and survey: survey the infrastructure and camera signal extraction, and design the rollout plan
  2. Phase 2 – MVP pilot: 1–2 AIBOX clusters with about 10–20 cameras to validate real operation
  3. Phase 3 – Advanced additions: full AI capabilities, digital camera map and AI assistant
  4. Phase 4 – Whole ward/commune expansion: replicate AIBOX clusters along the roadmap
